Contemporary paintings with an emphasis on process and materials. GALLERY ANNOUNCEMENT: Jan 17, 2010 After 16 years as an art dealer with a public gallery space, I have decided to close the public space at the end of February. However, I will remain active as an art dealer, artist representative, and art advisor. This decision will allow me to focus more time on art consulting, artist development, public speaking, and preparing for an upcoming public exhibition of my collection of soldier-made art. http://www.byronroche.com/sweetheart_exhibitions.html My email, website address and phone number will remain the same, and I will continue to represent Artist’s work on my website, updating new work as it is produced. I am available for private consultations, home visits, or just to answer questions, so do not hesitate to call or email for information on artists, art collecting or display, or navigating the many options for visual art. Through the years, I have also done a lot of public speaking to university art program classes, art education groups, and nonprofit fundraiser gatherings, and I am enthusiastic about continuing this work. I find it very gratifying to speak to classes of students about options for their careers as artists, and engage them in discussions about what they can expect from the professional art world. Likewise, I am available for the jury of art exhibits, to speak to groups interested in informed viewing of art or starting an art collection, and similar activities. I am very grateful to all of the friends, artists, collectors, visitors, and colleagues that have been involved with the gallery and made it so enjoyable for me throughout the years, and I look forward to future interactions. |
