Douglas Dawson Gallery has specialized in ancient and historic tribal art since 1983. Over the past 30 years the gallery has placed important ethnographic art in most major American museums and in many private collections in the greater Chicago area and around the nation.
The gallery has mounted numerous thematic exhibitions of textiles, ceramics, metal work and sculpture representing traditional non-Western cultures from pre-Columbian America, Asia and Africa.
The gallery is located in the historic south Loop in downtown Chicago, directly across the street from the Art Institute of Chicago and is open to the public.
