FLXST Contemporary

FLXST Contemporary is a contemporary fine art and photography gallery and an art incubator in Chicago that showcases highly-evocative and uncompromising artwork by emerging and mid-career artists. It also supports the exhibition of new artwork across visual mediums.

FLXST works with and represents mainly diasporic im/migrant artists, LGBTQ-identified artists, and artists of color based in Chicago and other parts of the country. These artists produce thoughtful, aesthetically-driven, and timely work. The art showcased at the gallery engages viewers to think, act, and to acquire the artwork by the talented artists for their collections. FLXST has and continues to place art in important private and institutional collections. Acquiring art by the artists represented at FLXST supports and nourishes the creativity and the continued artistic production of emerging artists. FLXST Contemporary functions as a creative space to amplify these artistic voices.

Opening receptions takes place the first night of the art exhibition, from 5:30 to 8pm.
