Komechak Art Gallery
The late Fr. Michael Komechak, O.S.B., spent his life collecting and celebrating the works of others. Over time, he amassed one of the finest art and sculpture collections in the Midwest.
The collection represents both fine and applied arts, and is engagingly diverse in its scope of subject and media which includes religious themes, contemporary art and work by well-known artists. The collection at the Komechak Art Gallery consists of ceramics, drawings, paintings, photography, textile, sculpture, mixed media, outsider art and folk art.
All exhibitions and programs held at the Komechak are free and open to the public. Refreshments are served at our Meet the Artist receptions and at our First Sunday Tea & Talk Lectures. Our Noon Curator Lecture is brown bag and we always end the year with our Sonntag Distinguished Scholar Lecture which honors local and regional scholars for their body of work.
