Toward Common Cause exhibiting artist Mel Chin inaugurates the Civic Arts Church at Sweet Water Foundation as headquarters for the Chicago Fundred Initiative: A Bill for IL. Presented on the 12th anniversary of the Fundred Initiative, Chin will be joined by Sweet Water Foundation Executive Director Emmanuel Pratt and participants from the Smart Museum and SkyART teen programs to collectively imagine a future free from lead poisoning.

Chicago Fundred Initiative: A Bill for IL is presented as part of Toward Common Cause: Art, Social Change, and the MacArthur Fellows Program at 40, and will be presented at locations across the city, including Sweet Water Foundation, Hyde Park Art Center, SkyART, and the Smart Museum of Art. This program is co-presented with Sweet Water Foundation and Public Media Institute.
