“We do not see Nature with our eyes, but with our understandings and our hearts.”
~ Art critic, painter and philosopher William Hazlitt (1778-1830)

The natural world has always been one of Anthony Iacuzzi’s favorite subjects. The medium of photography has been his vehicle of choice for sharing his vision of Nature’s beauty. Since the dawn of the digital age, he has spent countless hours exploring and experimenting with photo editing software in order to express Nature's beauty in his own way. His efforts have resulted in effects and techniques which give his images a stylized look. According to Iacuzzi, “The studied abstraction of the images in my series, NatuReVisioned, is intended to intensify the aesthetic experience in much the same way that painting idealizes its subject matter. One could say that while Nature provides the foundation of my digital canvases, technology provides the brush strokes.”

Anthony Iacuzzi lives and works in Evanston, Illinois where he co-founded Perspective Group and Photography Gallery in 2010. His photography has received local, national and international recognition. He has a BFA degree in photography from Columbia College Chicago.
