Join Northwestern Athletics’ Ava Earl and Associate Provost Michelle Manno for a conversation about art and self-representation.

Ava Earl ’25, a cross country and track student-athlete alumna and B1G Fellow with Northwestern Athletics and Recreation, and Michelle Manno, Associate Provost for Community Enrichment, will discuss the photograph Amber Morningstar by Cara Romero (Chemehuevi).

Together, they will explore connections between the artwork and women in sports, and the importance of choosing how one is represented. This fall, The Living Room at The Block highlights the museum's ongoing partnership with Northwestern Athletics and Recreation. Each month, an artwork selected by student-athletes, coaches, and staff is accompanied by reflection prompts drawn from their experiences of teamwork, leadership, and identity, on and off the field. Coffee and tea will be offered beginning at 3:00 p.m.
