Artist Talk and Book Signing: Sif Itona Westerberg

Copenhagen-based artist Sif Itona Westerberg and curator Stephanie Cristello present a panel discussion on Twin Flame, Double Ruin. Westerberg and Cristello will discuss the artist’s approach to sculpture, where common industrial building materials such as aerated concrete are transformed into delicate engraved surfaces reminiscent of marble bas reliefs, in relation to the Gilded Age architecture and ornamentation of the Nickerson Mansion.  The talk will be followed by exhibition viewing and a book signing with the artist for Sif Itona Westerberg: Immemorial (ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum, 2021).
