"Further Conversations" is a direct extension, at least in form, of Bob Tanner's series titled, "What Was Left Behind." The objects in this series are, again, those used in everyday life that can be thought of as both intimate and comforting.

Technically, a big difference between the two series lies in the nature of the prints. Unlike "What Was Left Behind," the prints in "Further Conversations" are low key with no white tones. According to Tanner, "They require a closer, slower viewing, which I hope viewers will take the time to do."

Bob Tanner is a graduate of the Institute of Design and gives credit to his teachers, Harry Callahan, Aaron Siskind and Frederick Sommer, and to his friend and fellow student, Joseph Jachna, for giving him a solid foundation on which to grow as a photographer.

Bob has been a member of Perspective Gallery since its founding in 2010. He feels that his renewed growth as a photographer over the past decade is due in no small part to the congeniality and constructive critiques he has received from its current and past members.
