PASSENGERS

August 2nd, 2016. 118 people are adrift in the Mediterranean Sea aboard a rubber boat that left the coast of Libya 8 hours prior. Cesar was waiting on shore, and photographed each passenger as they set foot on the sand.

Who are they?

Why are they there?

What will be their destiny?

So far, Cesar Dezfuli has located 105 of the young men aboard the boat. Listen to him and curator Tim Wride discuss this amazing ongoing story.
