Many artists 'begin' their careers as artists not only in their early twenties but in later decades and for a wide variety of reasons-rediscovery of a long suppressed drive, delayed ability to focus on creating, a return to art school later in life, or a moment of enlightenment.This exhibition is calling for EMERGING artists of all ages and will feature the diversity of work that they are currently creating. All media will be considered including film/video/new media, mixed media/multi-disciplinary, installation and performance.

JUROR Laura Rudolf Cloud's work has been exhibited internationally and nationally. Exhibitions include: actuel'art/lagalerie in Paris; the Museu Historico de Santa Catarina in Florianopolis, Brazil; the Liu Hai Su Art Museum in Shanghai, the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art in Chicago and the Sidney Yates Gallery in the Chicago Culture Center. Last summer she was invited to speak about her work at the 6th Annual International Conference on the Visual and Performing Arts in Athens, Greece. In 2016 she was an artist in residence at Green Olive Arts in Tetouan, Morocco. Her most recent projects were in collaboration with Michigan State University's RECap Lab, the Snares to Wares Initiative and the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
