Enduring Roots: Tulika Ladsariya

Chicago Artists Coalition is pleased to present Enduring Roots, a solo exhibition featuring 2022-2023 BOLT resident: Tulika Ladsariya

Enduring Roots makes visible the invisible labor of those who tend and nurture by exploring the connections between humanity and flora through ceramics,  painted forms, cyanotypes, and rooted plant cuttings. Inspired by Alice Walker's essay "In Search of Our Mothers' Gardens," the artist honors ancestral strength and vulnerability.

Through this exhibition, the artist shows her roots as a mother, a daughter, a grower, an immigrant, and a human and invites the viewer to further reflect on these ideas by caring for the roots in their space. - written by Sofía Sánchez Borboa
