Please join MoCP for a 30-minute exhibition tour followed by a guided meditation and sound bath.
Exhibition co-curator Joan Giroux will guide guests through works in the exhibition that situate the body politic in history and remind us that simple presence in space and time can be action. In works that explore how bodies confront societal malaise and oppression in the built environment, varied gestures—crawling, lying, climbing, pointing, running, walking backward—evoke memory, history, and rhetoric.
After the tour, Aneela Dean-Saineghi will guide participants in a meditation and sound bath, activating releases in your body for holistic healing and wellness.
Bring your own yoga mat and a light blanket. Tea will be served at the end of the program.
