Saturday, Sep 10 – Nov 6, 2022

University of Chicago
5811 S. Ellis Ave.
Cobb Hall, 4th fl.
Chicago, IL, 60637

In this exhibition, 17 artists offer perspectives on property—from objects and land to new technology. As an abstract idea that shapes social and economic structures, how does “property" start to organize emotional life today, too?

The Renaissance Society will be open to the public from noon until 6pm, with drinks and music from 3 until 5pm on the quadrangle, just outside Cobb Hall.

In addition to the the gallery, works are presented online at Renaissance TV, available for viewing at home or on mobile devices. During the opening day only, these video works by Karrabing Film Collective, Pedro Neves Marques, and Andrew Norman Wilson will also be screened in a viewing room down the hall from the gallery.
