Figurative Perspectives: Sandy Ostrau, Sherry Karver and Stephen Dinsmore

Jul 17, 2025 - Sep 3, 2025

Anne Loucks Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibition in our Glencoe Gallery, Figurative Perspectives: Sandy Ostrau, Sherry Karver and Stephen Dinsmore. The exhibition brings together three unique approaches to figurative work, balancing universal themes of presence, identity and and connection. Please join us for the Opening Reception with artist Sherry Karver, this Thursday, July 17th from 5 - 7 PM.

Sandy Ostrau’s textured, painterly figures are set into fields of color and abstracted landscapes. Her moody compositions invite viewers into places where people exist in quiet harmony with their surroundings. Sherry Karver's photo based, mixed-media works blend storytelling, identity and technology. Many of her pieces incorporate narrative elements, with layered text reflecting imagined lives behind everyday figures. Stephen Dinsmore's paintings capture the human figure in all manners of sport and leisure. With loose, lively brushwork and expressive color, his compositions capture favorite subjects of baseball, fishing, golf, and time well spent with friends. The exhibition will be on view through September 3rd. Please join us this Thursday for the Opening Reception from 5 - 7. We'd love to see you!
