Thursday, February 27, 6–8pm
LOCATION: Poetry Foundation, 61 W. Superior Street
Investigate how poems “materialize” through interaction with the physical world during two unique drop-in workshops co-presented by the Smart Museum of Art and Poetry Foundation.
Drop by the Smart Museum on Tuesday for a guided tour of The Allure of Matter followed by an art-making session focused on linguistic and artistic play. Then, on Thursday at the Poetry Foundation, take part in a guided creative writing workshop and practice working with physical materials to craft original poems as hard as a rock, as swift as a river, or as smooth as silk.
FREE, open to all. No RSVP required. Drop in as you are able—it is not required that you attend one workshop in order to attend the other.
