Glenn Kotche Solo Concert

Saturday, Feb 7, 2026 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
2156 West Fulton St. Chicago, IL 60612

Corbett vs. Dempsey presents a rare solo concert by Glenn Kotche. Glenn Kotche (b. 1970) is one of the great multi-directional percussionists of our time.

Most widely known for his work in the engine room of the band Wilco, Kotche's excursions in experimental and improvised music have been chronicled on solo records including Introducing (Locust, 2002), Next (Quakebasket, 2002), Mobile (Nonesuch, 2006), and Adventureland (Cantaloupe Music, 2014), working with fellow drummers on So Percussion's Drumkit Quartets and in duets with Tim Barnes, playing composer John Luther Thomas' Illimaq, or collaborating with novelist Karl Ove Knausgård. On his Instagram account, Kotche has demonstrated more than 300 unique rhythmic inventions as part of his marvelous #DrumBeatProject, many of the beats nigh on impossible to play.

At CvsD, Kotche will perform a set of new music for solo percussion.

You say you have Saturday afternoon plans? Clearly time to cancel them.
