The annual Gold Coast Art Fair returns to Chicago’s Grant Park in Butler Field on Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for its 62nd year, two weeks earlier than its usual date. The award-winning Art Fair welcomes more than 200 juried artists from across the country to create an exceptional, shoppable weekend experience in Chicago. This year, festival attendees will find beautiful artwork in all mediums and at all price points, as well as artist demonstrations, interactive art projects, and activities just for kids. Fest-goers can also relax in one of three Food, Live-Music, and Beer Oases. Tickets for the Gold Coast Art Fair are $10 per person, per day with children 12 and under admitted for free. Tickets for the Art Fair can be purchased in advance on the website, or at the gate. 

Bright Pink, a nonprofit organization on a mission to help save lives from breast and ovarian cancer by empowering women to know and manage their risks and manage their health proactively, will benefit from a portion of proceeds and from the sale of artists’ works that are marked with a bright pink ribbon.

To top this year’s show off with even more fun, the 2019 Chicago Ale Fest – Summer Edition will join the Gold Coast Art Fair in Grant Park, on Saturday, June 1, there will be 200 craft beers, live music and some of Chicago’s favorite food trucks. Sunday’s Art Fair features a beer garden with craft beers available for purchase by the glass. Enjoy art and ale at the Gold Coast Art Fair! The main entrance gate is at the corner of Monroe Street and Columbus Drive in Grant Park’s Butler Field. Additional fees apply for the Chicago Ale Fest beer tasting event.

Artists will showcase and sell original art: paintings, photography, fashion/wearables, furniture, sculpture, jewelry, glass, wood, mixed media and more. Find art in every size, to fit every space, person or family. Discover emerging artists and award-winning contemporary artists featuring traditional art, modern art, pop art, wall art, outdoor art, photo-realism, jewelry, fiber wearables and more. Art demonstrations and art talks add interesting elements to this handicapped accessible, outdoor Art Fair.

Want to try your hand as an artist? Visit the Blick Art Tent and get to work on your own masterpiece with access to art supplies and inspiration. Art Fair attendees can also take an art class on site at the Gold Coast Art Fair on Saturday or Sunday with lessons provided by Bottle and Bottega. Class times are 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., or 3:30 p.m., space is limited, and additional fees apply. Reservations can be made in advance online by visiting the website.
