The collection of Dr. Philip and Phyllis Eaton is now on display in our gallery. Browse a diverse selection of Asian antiques, home furnishings and art, all at favorable prices. 50% of proceeds will go to the Philip Eugene Eaton and Phyllis Dahlberg Eaton Charitable Trust, which provides scholarships and funds humanitarian works.
Dr. Eaton was a University of Chicago chemistry professor and research scientist for over 30 years and held patents for original compounds, He and his wife, a clinical psychologist, had a passion for Japanese and Chinese antiques. They commissioned renowned Chicago architect, Larry Booth, to design an Asian-inspired villa on a forested site in northwest Indiana. They collected widely and eclectically, so there is truly something for everyone in their estate. There are approximately 150 pieces in all.
