Spudnik Press is pleased to announce its 9th Annual Hashbrown Chili Cook Off—Heavy Metal County Fair! Join us as 18 chefs from local organizations, businesses, and Spudnik’s own members compete for the trophy. Between tastes of chili, enjoy plenty of printmaking carnival games, classic county fair snacks, all-ages face painting, and so much more.

This annual fundraiser has become a celebratory tradition among the Chicago arts community. The first Hashbrown was held in 2011 to fund a major studio expansion. Now, eight years later, the cook-off has become a tradition that brings together our community to celebrate the visual arts, friends, and food.Between tastes of chili, guests can enjoy plenty of printmaking carnival games, classic county fair snacks, all-ages face painting, and so much more. Music will be provided by Ferric Chloride, a one-night DJ duo mixing an eclectic collection heavy metal country covers, and vice versa. 

For the first time, Spudnik Press Cooperative is offering a simplified admission, with all guests enjoying open bar and unlimited chili. Plus, discounted tickets are available to artists and kids. Heavy Metal County Fair: 9th Annual Hashbrown Chili Cook-Off is a rare family-friendly open bar event!
