Join us for the opening of the Jacques Hnizdovsky exhibition on October 4 at 1:00 PM at the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art.

The exhibition, titled 'Art, Memory and the Immigrant Experience,' brings together the work of Ukrainian American artist Jacques Hnizdovsky and the reflections of acclaimed author and journalist Howard Reich. It explores themes of migration, memory, identity, and belonging. Hnizdovsky’s art, shaped by his journey of displacement and immigration, expresses the experience of leaving home through images that are both personal and universal.

Guest speaker Howard Reich will share reflections on these themes through his own family history and career focused on culture and memory. The exhibition invites us to consider how the immigrant experience lives within us through memory, creativity, and the idea of home.
