James Falzone in Concert at CvsD, 2pm

Long a Chicago stalwart and essential component of the city's creative music scene, clarinetist Falzone has been based in Seattle for many years, but he returns to town as part of a cross-country tour with his new project When Will Soon Be Then? Along the journey, the instrumental virtuoso will be joined by a variety of dancers – in particular Butoh-inspired ones – and in this concert he will feature Ginger Krebs for part of the performance. As Bill Meyer suggests in his Chicago Reader preview, "...you can expect the space's lively acoustics to vivify his probing, lyrical voice on wind instruments."
