Perspective Gallery presents Grand Vistas: Intimate Views, a new exhibit by members Frank Monnelly and Jane Feely. While each photographer takes us on a journey, the striking contrast comes in how they view their respective destinations.
Monnelly brings us Denali: Sublime Majesty, aerial photography which captures the scale, grandeur and elegance of the highest mountain peak in North America. Shot from a Cessna 185, the spirit of Denali is revealed in a cathedral of stone and ice. During the show, Monnelly will also premiere a video on aerial photography made in collaboration with Alex Joseph Hansen and Alexander Marvin.
In Japan: With A Beginner’s Mind, Feely embraces the Zen Buddhism concept of “Shoshin”, which encourages a sense of openness and curiosity, approaching life with a childlike vision. Her images invite you to get close to the details of this fascinating country, to find joy in even the smallest of experiences.
