Join Jaume Plensa and University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA) Director Christina Olsen for a virtual dialogue about the artist's newly installed sculpture, Behind the Walls.

Part of The Penny Stamps Distinguished Speaker Series at UMMA, Plensa and Olsen’s virtual conversation will follow a screening of the documentary film, “Jaume Plensa: Can You Hear Me?," directed by Spanish filmmaker, Pedro Ballesteros. Offering audiences an unfiltered look into Plensa's artistic process, the documentary follows the artist for over a year presenting Plensa’s story across seven chapters. The film moves between moments from the studio and the production of some of Plensa’s most ambitious public projects, including recent large-scale works at Rockefeller Center and Hudson Yards in New York. Plensa and Olsen’s dialogue will conclude with questions and comments from University of Michigan students.
