Responding to artworks by Jennie C. Jones, Rivmic Conversation presents hyper-focused rhythmic fragments within an electric band texture. The performance was commissioned for the Chicago presentation of Solidary & Solitary by the Smart Museum’s Student Advisory Committee

Jonathan Gardneris a Music Composition major in the College, writes songs and pieces, and plays cello in the Jazz X-Tet under director Mwata Bowden. His interests include Black music, Brazilian popular music, and walking.
