Woman Made Gallery (WMG) is proud to present “18” An Exhibition for Our Times with watercolors and Papier-mâché sculptures by Chicago artist, Mary King.
18 is the voting age in the USA. In 18, the exhibit, any work can be purchased for $18. The work must be taken immediately and used for a thoughtful discussion to prepare for the election.
The works feature words with rearranged letters (race/care, dire/fire, oh/ho) serving as prompts to consider alternative opinions, not to change minds, but to make contact and examine one’s own views.
For more information, please visit Mary King’s Website.
