The conversation will be moderated by Chicago artist and curator Catherine Schwalbe, whose practice spans sculpture, installation, mixed media, found objects, site specific work, and social practice. Schwalbe maintains Haptic Studio and Residency, shares a clay studio at Ripple Studios, and teaches at Lillstreet Art Center.

The program offers an opportunity to hear directly from participating artists about their work, their relationship to clay, and the regional context surrounding contemporary ceramic practice.
