Explore the intricate complexities of memory, time, and layered experiences in this special Night Visions program featuring artist Paula Shur. Our host, Sarah Packer, will introduce you to Paula's fascinating artistic journey as a photographer, beginning with simple, rural-themed images and evolving into enigmatic and abstract digital collages of a profound ethereal nature. Learn about Paula's unique perspective and the relationships that have resulted in her mysterious and memorable images. Culminating our evening, Paula will give us a demonstration of the digital manipulation she uses as an art form to produce her unique collages. Paula's work has been shown at the New York Center for Photographic Art, the SE Center for Photography, A. Smith Gallery, Praxis Gallery, and recently at Evanston’s Perspective Gallery.
