Night Visions returns this spring with after-hours visits and live demonstrations at exceptional artists’ studios! Treat yourself to an adventurous evening with Sarah Packer to meet with artists, explore their work, discover their artistic journeys, and view demonstrations of their craft.

On Thursday, March 28, meet us online to kick off our spring 2024 season with emerging Evanston artist Sam Onche! Find out how his artistic journey started in Nigeria and what brought him here to the US. Discover how Sam uses vibrant color and careful abstraction in his oil paintings to create impactful and memorable portraits, which employ collaged African fabrics as a nod to his family and heritage. We’ll also learn about Sam’s work in other mediums, including illustrations for album covers, books, posters, and prints. By the end of our evening, we will understand Sam’s inspiring goal of “uniting all kinds of people to look at his art from a cultural point of view, with hope for a brighter, more equal future.”

Register for individual sessions or sign up for the full series of three. Art Encounter members receive a discount.
