What happens at a salon?
We’ll enjoy food, drinks, mingling, and a tour through a selection of talented artists and what they’re currently working on. It’s an exciting overview of art that’s happening in Chicago and you’ll learn how you can work directly with a Chicago artist to make a personal work of art just for you.
What is Not Just Another Pretty Face?
Not Just Another Pretty Face is a collaborative commissioning project created by Hyde Park Art Center to arrange commissions between patrons and artists who create engaging and personalized art, ranging from traditional to very un-traditional.
2019 marks the seventh installment of Not Just Another Pretty Face, and will culminate with an unveiling event in December 2019, an exhibition at the Art Center, and a catalog documenting the art and participant experiences.
