It’s physical, sensual, emotional — even spiritual. Everybody does it and everybody needs it. That’s right, we’re talking about FOOD! This Drink & Draw we will turn our favorite quarantine foods into beautifully illustrated recipe cards to send to friends and family (or to just decorate our kitchens).
will show us how to incorporate food-themed typefaces and paper cutouts for extra punch. There’s really nothing quite like a handmade recipe card (making it or receiving it!) to bring a precious moment of pleasure and certainty to the day. We’ll also do a recipe swap so you can get some fresh ideas! Come join us for a lovely evening of fun, food, and art.
Suggested Materials:
A recipe or two (anything from cereal to soufflé)
index cards or paper (the thicker and more colorful the better)
pens, pencils, markers, crayons, paints
scissors, cutting tool, cutting mat, glue/stick (optional)
Drink & Draw [VIRTUAL] is a low-key drop-in social workshop devoted to staying creative from home. There are no pretensions and newcomers are always welcome, so invite your friends to join! Each Drink & Draw [Virtual] features a new guest artist and a new theme or project that uses pencil, paper, and everyday household supplies. Don’t have a sketchbook? Hosts will help you improvise.
