Planting Seeds: Indigenous Zine Fest is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, from 11am to 3pm, and is free to attend. In partnership with ZINEmercado, the fest will feature zines and prints by Indigenous creators, as well as hands-on art activities and access to the Newberry’s zine and comic collections. The event is hosted by the Newberry Library, an independent research library located in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood, which has been free and open to the public since 1887.

The Newberry Library aims to inspire research and learning in the humanities and encourages conversations about important ideas through its extensive collection of rare and historical materials.
