We are proud to partner with Chicago Mobile Makers to co-host four pop-up workshops throughout Chicago and the suburbs. Mobile Makers and EAM staff will be located at:
Overton Elementary
221 E 49th Street
Chicago, IL 60615
This Spring and Summer, the Mobile Makers truck will feature images from our current exhibition In Focus: The Chicago Freedom Movement & the Fight for Fair Housing. While outside the truck, we will feature a hands-on activity from our Activist Art Kits, generously provided by the Goethe-Institut. Participants will design kites with messages of activism and positivity to fly in their neighborhoods.
Chicago Mobile Makers creates programming that encourages Chicago youth to become advocates and change-makers in their own communities through design-focused skill-building workshops.
This event is part of our Art is for Everyone education program. It is generously supported in part by McDonald’s and a grant from the League of Chicago Theatres and ComEd.
