The focus of the Portraits With Impact Exhibition is on original paintings which reflect diverse range of personalities. The portrait genre enables artists to create work that resonates on a visual and emotional level, and ultimately invites reflection, sparks dialogue, and fosters a deeper connection. See unique paintings by local artists of historically-relevant individuals: Maya Angelou, James Baldwin, Malala, and more. The individual sitters’ personalities are communicated through visual elements such as symbolic color, patterns, abstract shapes and brush strokes.
