Hindman will present 119 premier examples of Post War and Contemporary Art on May 22 at 10am CST. The sale boasts a particularly spectacular array of 20thcentury sculptures with highlights by Barbara Hepworth, Harry Bertoia, Anish Kapoor, Anthony Caro, George Segal and Richard Artschwager. Anish Kapoor’s Untitled from 1,000 Names (1984) is estimated at $150,000 – $250,000, and will be the first work to come up at auction from the 1,000 Names series since 2016. Barbara Hepworth’s bronze sculpture Aegean (1956) (estimated at $100,000 – $150,000) has been in private hands since 1962, making this the first time this work has been available in more than 50 years.

Additionally, there are noteworthy paintings and works on paper by artists including Sam Francis, Franz Kline, Norman Bluhm, Conrad Marca-Relli, Wolf Kahn, Donald Sultan, Ray Yoshida, Karl Wirsum, Gertrude Abercrombie, Jim Dine and Ray Johnson.
