After working more than 20 years in the commercial art field, Rebecca is now a full time artist. She is a member of various professional organizations and has art work displayed in many private collections and public gallery spaces in the greater Chicago and Milwaukee areas.

"My paintings often feel like ethereal atmospheric inner landscapes. My art is born out of a larger spiritual contemplative practice rooted in experiencing the divine sacred connectedness in our natural world and its rhythms and patterns. My studio is a sacred space for me and is a place where exploration and play become holy acts in a conversation. The process of mixing the paint, layering, mark-making and scraping away is meditative and prayer-like. It stirs an inner dialogue, a spiritual connection, that starts a raw flow from deep within. My soul intuitively knowing what it wants to give and what it needs to receive. The painting becomes a record of that journey and a path of healing and deeper understanding.” — Rebecca Stahr
