Friends Garden Lecture

This lecture will explore design elements of the High Italian Renaissance including geometry, water, sound, and plantings. These design ideas will be explored in a virtual walk through of our own Renaissance Garden at Villa Terrace looking for Italian inspiration in the outstanding Garden of Rose Standish Nichols.

About the Speaker:

Jennifer Current is a Landscape Architect and Adjunct Professor in Milwaukee. She has led landscape and urban design projects across Europe, in Asia, and in the Great Lakes region, helping to envision better urban open spaces for people and cities. Jennifer's teaching experience includes both design and technical courses, with a specialty in landscape architecture and garden history and theory. Jennifer serves on the City of Milwaukee Board of Zoning Appeals offering insight into how land use policies affect the aesthetics of the public realm.

Doors open at 6pm for registration

Lectures begin promptly at 7pm

Tickets are $15 for members, or $20 for non-members. A complete series of four lectures is $50 for members and $70 for non-members.
