Roger Carlson worked at The Friends of Community Public Art in Joliet, painting murals, working with oil-based clay sculpture, glass and ceramic tile mosaics. He also worked at Marsha Lega Studio, making sculptures out of stainless-steel sheets with different grinding finishes as well as stainless-steel mirror and picture frames, tabletops, and wall panels. Roger studied graphic design and fine art at Joliet Junior College and University of St. Francis. He incorporates both traditional painting and graphic design in his paintings, which are created in reverse on plexiglass using acrylic paint, spray paint, paint marker, and ink.
