Tanya Aguiñiga and Ross Hansen for EXHIBITION Weekend

Landscape is often a concept associated with large swathes of color -  green with accents of color from flower or foliage. Hansen and Aguiñiga both reside in the Los Angeles area, but spend a lot of time escaping the city; Ross to the high desert and Tanya to the borderlands.

The pieces presented for EXHIBITION Weekend reflect Tanya and Ross's perspective of this desert landscapes in a material sense and color palette. Tanya's work focusing on the border and her Mexican heritage while Ross's is based in landscape design and his contemporary view of it.
