Hofheimer Gallery is pleased to present our Tattoo Tattoo exhibition. The paintings and sculptures are the work of revered tattoo artists who practice across the United States and internationally.  
 
Tattoo, the age-old art form, has moved into the mainstream and is included in major art collections. The work of tattoo artists are sought after as body adornment and visual art in the form of paintings and sculptures. All of the artists in the show are currently practicing tattoo artists or recently retired from practice. The two exceptions are Dianne Mansfield, photographer, whose practice is documenting tattoos on the body and Eleanor Spiess-Ferris, painter, who often incorporates tattoo images into her figurative work.
