The MLK Project: The Fight for Civil Rights is a touring one-woman show that follows a Chicago student’s personal evolution while studying the Civil Rights Movement. Using poetry, hip-hop and history, the performance features stories of both celebrated and unsung Chicago-based civil rights activists. One actress transforms into many characters in a cross-cultural portrayal of major Civil Rights Movement events of the 1950s and 1960s.
