Is art ever “just art?” Is a cultural institution capable of remaining neutral (politically, aesthetically, or otherwise)?

With three museum professionals, we explore these questions and those posed by the global advocacy initiative Museums Are Not Neutral.* In this, the fourth program in The Club’s series on racial equity in the Arts, Board President Laura Washington speaks with LAXART Director Hamza Walker, Illinois State Museum Director Cinnamon Catlin-Legutko, and Executive Director of SPACES Cleveland Tizziana Baldenebro about navigating curation, collections, and politics at their respective institutions.
