Opening Reception: Saturday, September 6, 2 to 5 PM
The True Colors Exhibition offers fresh, painterly approaches to the landscape genre. Color is an expressive tool which illustrates emotional depth and subjective responses. In this exhibition, juried by Nina Weiss, selections include paintings executed from memory, abstract interpretations of the landscape, and Impressionistic approaches. As a result, this compelling exhibition is comprised of oil, pastel and watercolor paintings with evidence of brush strokes, texture, and bold, Expressionistic colors. All of the artists in this exhibition employ color as an evocative tool that conveys the essence of a place, whether real or imagined. They have painted their authentic emotional responses to nature.
