Please join us on November 11 at 12:30 pm CT for a conversation between two photographers and friends: scott b. davis and Chris McCaw. While artmaking is often viewed as a solitary process, davis and McCaw travel into the American Southwest desert together, with their large format cameras in hand, to create one-of-a-kind prints. While McCaw captures the landscape with gelatin silver paper negatives, davis creates his work through a combination of platinum/palladium prints and palladium paper negatives, creating a stunning body of work that is showcased in his solo exhibition Place in the Sun at Catherine Edelman Gallery. The show runs through December 31, 2020.
RSVP for this Zoom event to hear the two artists tell stories about their joint photographic trips into the desert, and what it is like to camp together while making unique photographs alongside a fellow artist.
