Visceral Dance, a contemporary dance company dedicated to a bold and progressive world of movement, will be part of The Art Center Highland Park’s Sunday Salon series on Sunday, August 15th, at 2 PM. 

The program will be led by Visceral Artistic Director Nick Pupillo, who will discuss choreography, and include micro performances by featured members of the company.  

Founded in 2013, Visceral Dance Chicago is a contemporary dance company dedicated to a bold and progressive world of movement. The company has developed a diverse and respected repertoire with works by distinguished choreographers Danielle Agami, Sidra Bell, Banning Bouldin, Mónica Cervantes, Marguerite Donlon, Brian Enos, Mark Godden, Robyn Mineko Williams, Harrison McEldowney, Fernando Melo, Ohad Naharin, Kevin ODay, and Pupillo. In 2015 they were named one of Dance Magazine’s 25 to Watch. This will be the company’s second visit to TAC after last year’s event was canceled due to COVID. 

“We are thrilled to have Nick and Visceral back at TAC,” says Executive Director James M Lynch, “There is something special about dance within a gallery environment and this will be a high point in our year”.
