Learn to make handmade cords using a lucet knitting fork, transforming single strands of yarn into stronger, tactile forms with Catalyst exhibition artist Pooja Pittie. In her practice, Pittie uses cords and braids as symbols of connection and resilience. Through this meditative and rhythmic process, participants will be invited to reflect on how we hold, release, and reshape the stories that define us. Materials will be provided, but personal fibers from home are welcome.
Weaving Stories is presented as part of Art Design Chicago, a citywide collaboration initiated by the Terra Foundation for American Art that highlights the city’s artistic heritage and creative communities.
