Working With a Gallery: 5 Things You Need to Know with Darren Ching

Saturday, Sep 21, 2019 9 am – 12 pm

Darren Ching, owner of Klompching Gallery in New York City, will give a half-day presentation, providing a candid summary of the key challenges that photographers encounter when preparing to work with a gallery—from full-on representation to a one-off exhibition. This workshop will focus upon five essential tools needed – preparing participants to meet those challenges head-on and ensure the gallery/artist relationship is professional, successful and profitable for all.

This workshop is informed by Darren Ching’s 12 years as a successful New York art dealer and having worked with numerous photographers as a private consultant and mentor. Photographers will leave the workshop with a clear understanding of what to expect of a gallery, and what a gallery expects of the photographer.

Darren will not be reviewing portfolios as a part of this workshop but is available for individual portfolio reviews on Thursday and Sunday.
