Please join us for a concluding virtual discussion that expands on questions raised in the critically acclaimed exhibition Yannis Tsarouchis: Dancing in Real Life. The presentations will feature the exhibition’s curators Niki Gripari, Chair of the Yannis Tsarouchis Foundation and Adam Szymczyk, former director of Documenta 14 with additional presentations by artist and architect Andreas Angelidakis, professor and architect from the University of Notre Dame Michael Lykoudis, and introductions by Michelangelo Sabatino, Professor of Architectural History in the College of Architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology.

Imagine Yannis Tsarouchis taking a leisurely walk up the meandering pathway leading to the Acropolis with a handful of his contemporaries in order to discuss the relationship between art, architecture, and landscape. Who might those contemporaries be? And what might be their shared points of interest? Together, this panel of experts assess the artistic fluidity of cultural producers at the turn of the 20th century and question if these once prominent collaborations from Tsarouchis’s time have dwindled.
