On Friday May 13, the Fashion Department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago hosts their annual Fashion Show. The event usually takes place under a big tent in Millennium Park, but this year, the walk and an accompanying exhibition will be held at the Garfield Park Conservatory. While the Fashion Show features the work of graduating seniors, the new exhibition component showcases 230 designs from nearly 100 sophomore, junior and senior students with the conservatory. The Fashion Show is an invite-only event but the exhibition will be open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm. This is a great opportunity to see the work of these dedicated students, many of whom go on to successful careers within the fashion industry.
