Have you ever kneaded wet dough? It feels amazing. Smack smack thwap stretch flop. Throw it in the air and see what happens. It can be any shape you want.&nbsp;Fruit flies like dough too. Buzzzzz buzz buzz. My face is stiff and my arms are somewhat immobilized by a complex arrangement of bandages, but a sweet young thing named Annie sits&nbsp;patiently&nbsp;next to me, holding a plastic cup with a straw up to my parched lips. Pink sparkling rosé, my favorite. It’s about the little things. Miami Beach. Printed minidress. Chunky necklace on tan skin.... Cars slow down to get a better look at me....

A group exhibition curated by Hannah Tishkoff&nbsp;featuring the artists Deen Babakhyi, Jerry Bleem, Jack Kearney, Tatiana Sky, Flannery McDonnell, Jenna Beasley, Amy Stober, Cookie Bunk, Julia Yerger, and Megan Mi-Ai LeeView the exhibition on June 28 or July 12, 12-4pm, or by appointment. The gallery will be closed on July 5.The first artist must have been good at waiting—waiting for their tool to leave its mark, waiting for the fire to catch, waiting for someone else to notice. The first museum, I suspect, was a modest attempt to commemorate these efforts: neat piles of moss and bones, a catalog of passing animals. We appear unable to resist assigning symbolic meaning to actions, objects, and places.&nbsp;It is from this old and persistent habit that The Museum of I Love You So Much takes shape. The project proposes a conceptual container for what exceeds containment yet still asks to be kept: an archive of life as it is being lived. The first iteration of The Museum of I Love You So Much took place in December 2023 at <a href="https://jdvewz.clicks.mlsend.com/td/c/eyJ2Ijoie1wiYVwiOjEyMzc4MDcsXCJsXCI6MTkxMjYzMTE5OTQ0NzE0MDM0LFwiclwiOjE5MTI2MzEzMzExOTAyMjEyN30iLCJzIjoiMWY5YWUzZGVkNDEyYjUwYSJ9" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="color: rgb(0, 123, 255);" target="_blank">Quarters Gallery</a>, followed by a second in January 2025 at <a href="https://jdvewz.clicks.mlsend.com/td/c/eyJ2Ijoie1wiYVwiOjEyMzc4MDcsXCJsXCI6MTkxMjYzMTE5OTQ5OTU2OTE2LFwiclwiOjE5MTI2MzEzMzExOTAyMjEyN30iLCJzIjoiMzY1OTdjZjJkYTFlZTc5MCJ9" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="color: rgb(0, 123, 255);" target="_blank">Melrose Botanical Garden</a>. Who will call and refresh me?She embodies sweetness and wants harmony, but lacks inner power until a crisis forces growth.&nbsp;If you walk slow and there’s no moon, your nightly disappearance will go unnoticed. You will see others in their respective pavilions, enduring their own peculiar tests. Their eyes point in different directions to keep their mythologies intact. Some are clever, some are spoiled, but all are as real as stone.Show them your gift, you are grateful and good. We all drink from the same glass.Fall asleep tonight never to be threatened again by such different but equal beauties.&nbsp;Know that I would make the world a ruby for your little finger, and die in an oval of your tears.
